Simulation in Pediatrics has now become an integral part of training and assessment in the era of Quality focused healthcare worldwide. Medical simulation has seen its roots over the centuries with the application of similar principles in a non technical way (cadavers, animal models) to educate and train medical professionals of various specialties. With the advances in technology and the rampant pace set over the last 2 decades, we have seen the application of simulation reach great heights and revolutionise the approach towards training the budding generations of medical professionals of various specialties and sub-specialties.

As we embark into the era of quality based outcomes in health care provision to children in India, we identify the need to provide training in a risk free environment and facilitate learning amongst Pediatric healthcare providers.These ideas lead to the birth of PediSTARS India.
